Baby Cake

I am going to a babyshower this weekend and decided to make a babycake. I have done a few of these in the past but this one was a little different and more tedious but way better in the end. Voila!

I was a little bummed out about the bag though. Michaels was sold out of the large clear bags so this was my only choice. It makes its harder to see the cake. oh well, It still came outpretty well. There is a big bottle of Johnsons Baby wash and 4 oz bottle in the middle of about 50 diapers.

Had to share

I just love this picture and had to share...

Snow Day!

Its been in the forecast all week and I kept my fingers crossed for snow. Gage got really bummed on Christmas because it didnt snow. He thinks that its snows everywhere Christmas Day=( Sunday we woke up and by 11am it had started snowing! Gage and Ethan were so excited! We didnt think it would stick but after 4 hours of constant snowfall we got this...
We really need a box with snow clothes put aside for each kid for days like this. Sadie doesnt have any boots or waterproof pants so she had to double up with Ethans pants...

Ethan needed a better pair of gloves. His hands got cold really fast,
Gage just had to double up pants, shirts, socks and he was good to go. I had to do a lot of laundry come monday=) The kids tried playing on there jeep and truck but it just wouldnt go in the snow!

I had to put Justin to work....

Fondue Time

I recently saw the idea to do fondue fridays and I really wanted to do it but didnt actually do it until saturday...oh well=) We used semi-sweet chocolate chips so it wasnt that great...I'll have to find a better recipe and use milk chocolate next time. I made brownies with chocolate chip cookies baked on top, rice crispies made with caramel instead of marshmallows, & caramel apples. We also had bananas, pretzels, and marshmallows. Gage loved everything but the bananas, Ethan loved the marshmallows...
and sadie, well, lets just say she really only liked the chocolate fondue..
Justin was eating a grapefruit while Ethan was still eating his treats so Ethan really wanted to try one (interesting mixture??) Notice the face... Turns out he loves grapefruit...

Needless to say Sadie was quite a mess when she was done!

Papa's Visit

On Wednesday my dad flew down from Kentucky to visit us for the day (Yeah!!) and we went to the park just down the street from my house.

Ethan loves to play on the train! Even more than the actual playground!

The boys played on the swing(sorry for the blurred pictures, since ethan got ahold of my camera sometimes the focus isnt that great)

Sadie loved the slide...

The county just built a veterans memorial behind the park. Its lite up at night so you can see it from the road but I havent been by to check it out yet so I went with dad and wow! They did such a great job! These pictures dont do it justice..They really did a fantabulous job!

One rollercoaster of a week!

The week started out great! The kids had new church clothes (compliments of G.G.'s discount) and were very cute. Ethan was super excited for class (which was a first!)Gage had a matching sweater like Ethans but wouldn't put it on until we were ready to leave...

Sadie had a really cute Valentines Day dress...

I wasnt needed in nursery so I got to go to relief society which was soooo nice! Ethan loved class and Sadie was her usual terror!
Then the week began and Gage had another stomach bug...had to keep him home from school,Yipee!! Then Sadie and Ethan caught it worse than Gage. It was not pretty! Then came wednesday and lookie lookie what Gage decided to do...

He hopped over the gate to get into my room, went into my bathroom, took off the childproof lock on the cabinets and got into the hairclipper kit and found the sissors! He butchered himself! I thought a good punishment would be to send him to school without fixxing it but when he got off the bus, he still didnt realize how rediculous he looked?! I buzzed off all his hair which put him to tears, and me on the inside, and now this is how he looks... My little skin head!

By Thursday I had caught the bug and Justin had to miss a day of work to help me with the kids..not good! We need all the hours we can get with his job here lately.

Come friday and my house is bacteria infected, kids are back to their old wild selves and Justin calls to inform me that Brent is finally putting him in a truck...WAHOO!!! He started today which is crappy because its Valentines Day but great because what better gift than to be able to pay our bills=) He is hauling equipment and doing small jobs for Brent all around Georgia and will even be going up to South Carolina when he is needed. Basically he is at Brents beckin call which will give him CDL experience and a lot more hours. Yeah!! What a way to end the week....

Gage is 6! Holy Crap!

Gage turned 6 on January 28th and had a few friends over for a party. Here are some pictures for those of you who couldn't make the party, enjoy=)
